Hockey is more than a game.

It’s a chance to lead with respect, learn together, and honour truth.

Overview

U7–U18

Hockey Program Details.

The Orange Jersey Project’s Hockey Program invites U7–U18 teams across Turtle Island/Canada to lead with respect, learn through sport, and participate in reconciliation in action.

Each registered team receives orange practice jerseys that serve as conversation starters, linking today’s young athletes with the lived experiences of Indigenous families affected by residential schools. Through the Player Education Portal, players complete guided learning modules that help them understand this history, and their role in carrying the message forward.

This program is about more than just wearing orange. It’s about what happens next: asking questions, sharing stories, and growing as teammates, leaders, and allies.
