Stand Out in Orange
Canadian
U7–U18 Teams: Reconciliation Through Sport.
Minor hockey, football, and lacrosse teams across Turtle Island are invited to take part in the Orange Jersey Project. Registered teams receive official orange jerseys and guided access to the Player Education Portal, an interactive learning experience that introduces youth to the true history of Indian Residential Schools.
Wearing the jersey means more than showing up, it means standing up. Your team becomes part of a growing national movement to honour truth, inspire learning, and lead through sport.
Our Mission
The Orange Jersey Project empowers young athletes to be part of truth and reconciliation through the power of sport. By combining education with action, we create space for youth to learn, reflect, and lead on the ice, on the field, and in their communities. One jersey, one story, one team at a time.
Impact
75,000+ jerseys delivered to youth teams across Canada.
When players wear orange, conversations about truth and reconciliation happen naturally in locker rooms, at family dinners, and on social media. Each jersey worn creates dozens of teaching moments that reach parents, coaches, and peers.

“As a mother, a survivor, and someone who has dedicated my life to sharing the truth, I feel a deep sense of pride watching my son Jeremy carry this work forward. The Orange Jersey Project is more than jerseys, it’s about teaching our young people the real history of this land. Jeremy knows this work is sacred, and I know in my heart he’s walking the right path.”
